My Son's Stocking

I finished this today.
I'm so glad, because I worried with all of the crazy Christmas stuff going on that I wouldn't have time to make my 11 month old a stocking this year. Yet, here it is, even before December 1st! Yay!!!
I bought the pink one years ago for my daughter, and loved it so much I duplicated it and made one for all of us. Here they are hanging on the railing!
I wrote up a tutorial so I would know exactly what to do when I have to make another one for a future child, if you're interested, let me know and I'll share it!

Boo Wreath

I made this cute Boo wreath for Halloween. It's the 1st wreath I've ever made, and I'm super happy with how it turned out. It was super easy and quick, just the kind of crafts I like! :)

Here's a few fun links for wreath inspiration and tips:

Two More Car Seat Covers

Since my last post (forever ago, sorry...) I have been crafting and cooking like mad! Among my latest creations, I made two more car seat covers. I feel like they're getting cuter as I do them, who knew that cute stuff to cover mistakes actually enhances how it turns out?!!

Crock Pot Kalua Pork

My awesome friend Yvonne gave me this one:

Crock Pot Kalua Pork
1-2 lbs pork (I like to use boneless spareribs or a boneless roast)

1T sea salt (though I use half that to start and add more to taste as it cooks.)

2T liquid smoke (it's found by the BBQ sauce in most stores)

2C water. (though I like to use a bit more water. Just make sure for every cup of water you use, you put in 1T of liquid smoke and it should be fine.

Then I add a pinch of onion powder, then some fresh ground pepper.
Let it sit in the crock pot on high for 6-7 hours, or on low if being left longer. One hour before serving shred the pork with a fork and remove any fat that you find. Serve over rice, sometimes, I lie to use those crunchy chow mein noodles under the rice too. Yum!!! Enjoy!

Girlie Onesie!

I'm meeting up for a girl's night out with my old USU roommates tomorrow. Three of them are pregnant, and two of them already know they're having girls. So I whipped these up for them today! So Mer and Stacy, pretend to be surprised if you see this before we meet up! :)

Rock On!

My cousin's wife just had a baby. He was taken C-section at 32 weeks because she had toxemia. I made him a special onesie to wear when he gets bigger. :)
His dad is in a band, so I thought it was appropriate...

Boy Stuff

So now that I have a son I've been trying to learn some new boy crafts. The stuff I made below is not only extremely simple, but pretty quick too. Here's some things I made for a friend's shower, who's also having a boy. :)

Wee Wee Wigwam
If you're unsure of what these are, they're to cover your baby's "Nether Regions" when you're changing his diaper so he doesn't pee all over you. (Click on the name above to see the tut.)

This is a onesie that I applique'd a tie onto. Go here for the tut.
Here it is all packaged together with some burpees.

Girlie Apron

As a reward for my toddler for filling up a whole line of stickers on her potty chart, I made her this apron and we made cookies. I didn't have a pattern or tutorial, just an idea in my head. I thought it turned out pretty dang cute, and she LOVED it!
